• if I am not running, can I participate by being a volunteer?

  YES...Volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated! Please visit: the Volunteer Info link on this site to get all the information needed on being a volunteer. Students, please bring any volunteer hours verification forms you may have from your school.

• Will there be port-o-potties along the course?

  Yes: At every water station

• Can I walk the course?

  Yes: you have 4 hours to finish the Half marathon, that’s about 15minutes plus per mile. Sooo... walkers are welcome, stroller moms, and walking clubs. Those of you who are new to 5k, 10k events are encouraged to come out and push yourself to new limits of fitness.
  All of our courses are designed with EVERYONE in mind!

• Is the course accurately measured and marked?

  Yes: We have measured the course using a GPS watch and checked it three different times with three different runners. That is the best we can do, as you know GPS will vary slightly from time to time but it’s the best we can offer for you. Feel free to check it out on your own watch if you have time prior to the race. There will be mile markers on the course.

• When, where and what is Packet pickup?

  This is where you pick up your race timing chip, race bib #, and race day t-shirt, ask your pre-race questions, check out the course map.
  This will be your last chance to register for this race,
  NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
  Saturday before the race - 10:am to 2:pm

• Can I register for the race at the packet pick-up location?

  YES...You can register for the race at the package pick-up there are NO Discounts Package pickup and we only accept cash or credit cards, NO CHECKS. You can also register on line or by sending in the registration form.

• What kind of t-shirts will we be getting?

  Tech shirts that are men’s specific and women’s specific sizes. Tech shirts are more fitted moisture wicking types of shirts and they do NOT shrink

• Starting Line Location?

  Rancho Simi Community park, 1765 Royal Ave, Simi Valley CA 93065
  Corner of Royal / Thompson rd. (the duck pond park)

• Parking? ... Where do we park?

  We have two large parking lots that should hold everyone. Come early and be patient. There will be hundreds of people trying to get into the same place all at once. Overflow parking at Royal High school a couple of blocks from the starting line.

• Can I pick up my race packet on race day?

  YES...you can pick up your race packet on race day, but we advise you to come early!! There may be hundreds of people doing the same and it may take some time. We advise you to go to the packet pick-up Saturday before race day instead. Last minute check in on race day begins at 6:00 a.m. and ends at 6:45 a.m. There is NO race day registration.

• Can I pick up someone else's race items if they cannot make it out on Saturday?

  YES...you can pick up a friend or relative’s items bring a note from them signed by them that you are picking up their number.

• Awards?

  Top 3 M/F overall each race - special award
  Top 3 each age group M/F each race distance - age groups below
  Ages: 0 -9 / 10-12 / 13-15 / 16–18 / 19-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70-74 / 75-79 / 80+
  
  Race results will be posted as follows:
  5k preliminary results will be posted at approx. 8:00 a.m.
  10k preliminary results will be posted at approx. 9:00 a.m.
  Half Marathon - approx. 9:30 a.m.

• Is there a refund policy for this race?

  There are no refunds! But you can defer your entry to another one of our races in the future. You can find all of our events at www.EliteSportsCA.com

• Water stations and Port a potty locations along the course

  Port a potties are at race start and the following
  Erringer - 1/2 / 8 mile mark
  Sycamore - 1.5 /7.5 mile mark
  Sequoia- 3/6 mile mark

• I don’t know the course should I just follow someone?

  NO: All athletes are required to know the entire course prior to stepping onto the starting line. Please study the race course map on this site, and maybe drive the course if you have time prior to race day.
